Push-Activated Lamp
In this innovative project, I embarked on creating a unique, user-interactive lamp that illuminates with a simple push. The design process involved planning, from the initial concept to the final assembly, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Overview:
In this innovative project, I embarked on creating a unique, user-interactive lamp that illuminates with a simple push. The design process involved planning, from the initial concept to the final assembly, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Design and Fabrication:
The lamp's circular shapes were crafted using a laser cutter, providing precision. This technique not only enhanced the visual appeal of the lamp but also ensured that each component fit seamlessly together, crucial for the interactive mechanism to function smoothly.
The lamp's interactivity is a soldered button connected to an LED strip. This setup ensures that upon pushing the lamp, the circuit completes, and the LED strip lights up, casting a warm, inviting glow. This simple yet effective mechanism was designed to provide an immediate response to user interaction. At the heart of the lamp's interactivity is a carefully soldered button connected to an LED strip. This setup ensures that upon pushing the lamp, the circuit completes, and the LED strip lights up, casting a warm, inviting glow. To achieve the desired interactive push mechanism, I incorporated springs and a specialized top piece into the design. This innovative approach allows the lamp to not only turn on when pushed but to also exhibit a slight, satisfying movement, driven by the springs
Understanding the importance of convenience and safety, the lamp was designed to be powered through a standard wall outlet. This consideration ensures that the lamp can be easily integrated into any living space without the need for complicated power solutions, making it both functional and accessible.
